Bogarts Thursday Nights
Truly Im not a professional belly dancer, thus always giving anything a go especially when wanting to create and deliver a message. In this case I wanted the Darwin audience to enjoy cabaret life of my Greek background culture. Generally the norm known in the entertainment industry is that we only dance wearing traditional costumes in lines and circles. I hope you enjoyed my 1st performance.

STRUCK 1. Intro
2008 Australian National Award WInner
Based in 1942, the bombing of Darwin, I play the floozy red head nurse, who happens to be 2nd in charge at the rescue shelter that is set up during the show with medical beds etc. My side kick Teghan just wants to be like me and because I like the idea, I encourage her so. The strict alcoholic Matron, over looks the rescue shelter by ensuring that all her staff zre ready for the most likely event that soldiers will be brought in dead or injured.

My first experience as a belly dancer at a wedding function in Rhodes Greece :-)
The head dancer needed one more dancer and so I excepted her request. Surely I informed her that I am no professional, however she loved my style and told me to smile and enjoy myself.
Courageous yet nervously, I walked to the centre dance floor. Along the way taking in the wedding guests. In my head I said, 'just smile and enjoy yourself', and so I did.
In the Rhodes wedding tradition your supposed to dance to the Alpha male at the table... I didn't realise till after I had been ushered by the maid of honour to several tables...
I felt happy & overwhelmed with the openness and beautiful energy I felt from the Greeks that night. I wish the couple all the best thank Irene Zifias & Nanna for asking me to join them in the experience.
The Call of Guadalupe - Part 1 - Scene 1 - Song - How Can We Survive
Character: Jennifer (mother/wife) who is the modern version of our Mother Mary:
Playing Jennifer was challenging yet fun. The message of the show is to send a message to educate woman not to have abortions. The challenge for me in this production was dealing with and learning how to work with people with different opinions to 'life', as I myself believe that terminations have been put into the surgical world due to the demand for it by woman and their individual/personal reasons.
I enjoyed playing this role and singing throughout this production. Even though I truly am no expert and really can not sing, I loved the experience and can look back now and smile :-)

Children Of 2 Worlds - The Act 2 - Poppy & Alex Duo Act
Jew meets Greek:
Im approx. 12 y/o here & had only a 1 year ago, died for 2 mins in the elevator at the Royal Public Hospital in Darwin because my appendix having ruptured 2 days prior..! Many complications followed after & I missed out on Track & Field Competitions that I had been training for all season.
Working with this production lifted my spirits immensely & I thank my mothers friend Ero, who introduced me to Betchay Mondragon who produced this theatrical production and who has been an inspirational acting director to me and friend ever since.

I never knew that the belly dancers are supposed to dance with the groom... So I stood in the background and honestly tried to avoid joining in and hoped the dance floor freestyle entertainment was over very quickly.
Thus, the maid of honour was onto me, and made sure that I too entertained the Bride and guest's along with my newly found dance companions. Firstly, I was made to dance with the groom and then I believe his best man.
Later I was ushered by the maid of honour to a table. In the Rhodes wedding tradition your supposed to dance to the Alpha male at the table... I didn't realise till after I had been ushered by the maid of honour to several tables...

The Call Of Guadalupe Part 2 - Dialogue Edit Mary Only
The hardest role I have played to date...
A Christian Group give 2 mins silence after they have just prayed and asked His Almighty God to deliver to them the actress in which to play Mother Mary in their theatrical production, and I walk through the door...!
At first I refused the role as I could never see myself playing mother Mary. Over time with a little persuasion by the producers, cast and crew I began to learn my script and WALLAH! I did it!
Ps. Just wanted to say that this production was very difficult for me in many ways. The most prominent challenge as my role as the Virgin Mary, was trying to think and be as the Virgin Mary. CRAZY!!! The COG Production crew were very spiritually helpful and believed in me.
Since the show I haven't been able to keep it from my mind, and I miss it more when I see cast & crew here & there from time to time..
Living in the shock of the reality that I played the Virgin Mary, I can not help but say that Im very proud of my performance and the performances of the whole cast. The production outcome was A class; I only wished I did not hide the COG production dates when we performed at the Entertainment Centre, from my family and friends because of my role as the Virgin Mary.
Finally, I did not take the news seriously enough when asked to perform again in Mexico and missed my opportunity to develop my 2 characters in COG, and furthermore, develop and gain experience to develop as a passionate actor.
