Yes, I am a portrait/figurative, landscape and still life painter. I have been both classcally and contemporarily trained. and have found that a combination of elements of both these styles best, in certain ways, provides the look, asthetic and goals I strive for. And at will and when most effective, I will exagerate the color application, taking it well beyond the capabilities of the camera, while holding true to the drawn out representation. It will always be my hand and no mechanical "aids" are ever used. My figurative and portrait works are usually life size or larger and usually completed in a two to three hour sitting.
