Some simple tips on how to prepare your profile, make announcements and let iStudio community knows you better.

  1. How to refer to a iStudio member in my announcement ?

    Just prefix member's iStudio no with @, example:

    Worked with her @12345 lately, amazing!
    output of above announcement will be:
    Worked with her 12345 lately, amazing!
    Optionally you can give the link a label:
    Worked with her @12345=new_model lately, amazing!
    output of above announcement will be:
    Worked with her new_model lately, amazing!
  2. How to refer to a iStudio link in my announcement ?

    You can refer to a iStudio local link in announcements, the local link is the URL without the istudio.com part, example:

    This is a complete URL : http://www.istudio.com/list/view/1148
    Here is the local link from the above URL : /list/view/1148
    To refer to a iStudio link, just prefix the link with @:
    More photos can be found here : @/list/view/1148
    and the final output of above announcement will be:
    More photos can be found here : link
    Optionally you can give the link a label:
    More photos can be found here : @/list/view/1148=photos
    and the final output of above announcement will be:
    More photos can be found here : photos
  3. Can I have a subject for announcement ?

    You can tag your announcement with a keyword, this will put your announcement together with other announcements with the same keyword. To tag, just put the keyword anywhere in the announcement, prefix the keyword with #:

    Hi Guys, let's share some #ideas on photography here!
    Output will be:
    Hi Guys, let's share some #ideas on photography here!
  4. How to include photos and links in my profile or private messages?

    You can use BBCode to do that:

    [b]bolded text[/b]
    [i]italicized text[/i]
    [img]http://mysite.com/mypic.jpg[/img]
    [url]http://example.org[/url]
    [url=http://example.com]Example[/url]
    all the tags should be in lower case, ex: img works, IMG will not.
  5. How can I embed videos to my profile?

    The following are the BBCode tags available in the iStudio:

    [youtube]video_id[/youtube]
    [vimeo]video_id[/vimeo]

    Samples:

  6. How to view photos labelled as 'Available to members 18+'?

    If you are 18+, you have to update your age first (my info/edit profile), then logout, login to have the change take effect.
