“They say you don’t take a picture, you make one.” Based in the lush suburbs of Mumbai, Ronnie Singh is a fashion photographer with an edgy sense of the beautiful and languid medium of visual arts. His perspective is to challenge convention and draw freely on his imagination to weave visual stories. “Art is imagery and imagery is your ability to render reality.” Born in mystic Orissa, a degree in Mechanical Engineering from KIMET later, Ronnie reinforced his basics as he grafted into the world of CAD and multimedia. He began plying his trade has a graphic designer and has careened into almost every department in the visual and creative arts. Studio assignments soon streamed in and the world of visual effects saw Ronnie get by 7 years as a creative director, visual F/X supervisor and compositor at major studios such as Maya Entertainment, Glint entertainment, Rajtaru and Futureworks. With such a vast spectrum of experience, he honed his art and mastered motion graphics, compositing and a myriad of hardware and software. Photography is an art form that he is truly passionate about. As the subtle alchemy of scientific acumen and magic that the art creates renders his life incomplete without the pursuit of excellence in the field. “As a passion it started… A passion it is… Work has now fallen prey… To my ‘Gemba’…”
